DIRECTIONS Trout Park is our primary baseball field and is one of the top fields in Northern Illinois. In addition to Trout Park, we occasionally utilize other fields located in the vicinity of Trout Park. Other fields are utilized for tournaments and the fall league. These fields include Larkin High School (Elgin), Wing Park (Elgin), American (Elgin) and CMS located in Dundee, IL. We wish to thank these entities and those individuals that maintain these fields in our endeavor to provide quality baseball sites to those visiting the Elgin area. Maps and directions are provided to these fields.
Trout Park Baseball Field The Trout Park Baseball field is located on Route 25 one block south of the Northwest Tollway (I-90) on the east side of the street. Turn west on Trout Park Boulevard. The baseball field in visible from the intersection. A parking lot is located at the west end of the field near the entrance to the park. Street parking is allowed on the north side of Trout Park Boulevard. No parking is allowed past the pavilion parking lot in left field. Please respect the residential neighborhood, obey the speed limit and keep the music down as you enter the park area. No coolers or food are allowed at the Trout Park Baseball facility. A full concession stand is available to players and spectators. Public bathrooms are available and water will be provided to all teams in their dugout.
Westminster Christian High School is located on the north side of Highland Blvd. just west of Randall Rd. The baseball field is located behind the school or to the north of the school. There is a large parking lot next to the school and then a short walk north to the field. Westminster Christian is located at 2700 W. Highland Ave., Elgin, IL 60123. From Trout Park turn north on Dundee Ave and take the I-90 ramp west. Cross the river and exit at Randall Rd. Turn south or left on Randall Rd. Take Randall south to Highland Ave., turning right (west). Take Highland less than 1/2 of a block and the school will be on your right (north). WESTMINSTER CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL MAP
Wing Park is located on the west side of Elgin on Wing Street, west of Rt. 31 and east of McLean Boulevard. From Trout Park turn north on Dundee Ave and take the I-90 ramp west. Cross the river and exit at Route 31 south. Take Route 31 south to Wing St. then turn west (right). Drive approximately ½ mile and enter the park entrance on your right (north). Enter the park and drive around to either Field #1 (Legion Field) or Field #2 (Classic Field). Field #1 (Legion) is the east field and home plate and first base line are along the golf course. Field #2 is located near the northwest corner of the park. Field #2 is the baseball field closest to the swimming pool and band shell.
American is located on the east side of Elgin on Summit Street (Rt. 58) , east of Rt. 25 at the intersection of Hiawatha. From Trout Park turn south on Dundee Ave and then turn east at the first light, Congdon Ave. Travel a short distance and then turn south (right) on Hiawatha. Take Hiawatha approximately 1 mile to American located on the west side of the street just north of Summit.
Judson College is located on the east side of Route 31 (State St.) just south of I-90. The baseball field is at the east end of the campus along the Fox River. Parking is generally available at several lots near the field. Judson College is located at 1151 N. State Street, Elgin, IL 60123. From Trout Park turn north on Dundee Ave and take the I-90 ramp west. Cross the river and exit at Route 31. Turn south or left on Route 31. Go south less than 1/2 mile and the entrance to Judson College will be on your right (east side of Rt. 31.) Enter the campus and continue east to the field.
The Elgin Community College baseball field is located behind or to the west of the College. For directions to the ECC Baseball Field click on this link. Elgin Community College is located at 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin, IL 60123. From Trout Park turn north on Dundee Ave and take the I-90 ramp west. Cross the river and exit at Route 31 south. Take Rt. 31 south to Highland Ave., turning right (west). Take Highland and veer to the left at the fork in the road. This is Larkin Ave. Take Larkin Ave. to McLean Blvd. then turn left (south). Continue south to Spartan Drive (south of Rt 20. Lake St.). Turn west (right) on Spartan and drive to the west end of the campus to the baseball field. Photos of Field
The Elgin High School baseball field is located on the south side of Route 19 (Chicago St.). The field is north of the high school and the best entrance is off of Route 19. There is a parking lot just north of the field available as you turn into the school.Elgin High School is located at 1200 Maroon Dr., Elgin, IL 60120. From Trout Park turn south on Dundee Ave. Take Dundee Ave to the first light, Condon Ave. Turn left, east, to Route 25. Take Route 25 south, right, to Route 19. Turn left, east, and drive approximately one mile to school on your right.
The Larkin High School baseball field is located behind to the south of the high school. The field is on the northwest corner of McLean and Erie. The best place to park is on Erie Street. Larkin High School is located at 1475 Larkin Ave., Elgin, IL 60123. From Trout Park turn north on Dundee Ave and take the I-90 ramp west. Cross the river and exit at Route 31 south. Take Rt. 31 south to Highland Ave., turning right (west). Take Highland and veer to the left at the fork in the road. This is Larkin Ave. Take Larkin Ave. to McLean Blvd. then turn left (south). Continue south and you will see the baseball field on your right. Turn west on Erie, the varsity field will be the first field on your right.
CMS Field is located at Carpentersville Middle School. This Junior High School is located at the intersection of Van Buren and Edwards in Dundee, IL. The field is located just to the west of the school. Turn left into the school bus parking area and continue past the buses. The field can be seen on your left as you travel westbound past the school. CMS is located north of Rt. 72 east of the Fox River. Turn north from Rt. 72 unto Van Buren. Travel approximately 1 mile until you reach Edwards. The school will be visible on your left. Turn into the bus parking area. From Trout Park take Duncan Ave. north. Cross Rt. 72 and Duncan becomes Van Buren. CMS is located approximately 3 miles north of Trout Park. |
