TROUT PARK FIELD REQUESTS

The following general information and requests are provided to teams and spectators visiting the Trout Park Baseball Facility. We hope that you enjoy your experience at the Baseball Park. If you have a suggestion or require any assistance please visit the concession stand, email director@troutparkbaseball.org or call 847-919-0831.

It is requested that no coolers or food be brought into the baseball facility. A full concession stand is on site and provides the funding necessary to maintain our baseball program.

There is no admission to the baseball facility but contributions to support the program are appreciated. If you wish to become a contributor through one of our varied programs please leave your name and phone number at the concession stand. There is no designated warm up area outside the field due to a lack of available space. Teams can warm up in an open green area behind right field. No throwing is allowed in the area of the concession stand or bleachers.

No batting practice is allowed in the bullpen areas on game days. The home team utilizes third base unless you are playing a team based out of Trout Park. A Trout Park based team can opt for the third base dugout even if considered a visiting team for that game.

Water is provided for both teams and will be placed in your dugout. When more water is needed please contact the concession stand.

No soft toss of hard balls against the fences. Warm up hitting stations are located on both the left and right field lines. There is NO SWINGING on the grass. Swinging is allowed only on the white screening areas located throughout the park. This allows us to maintain the integrity of our grass based on the extreme number of games played at Trout Park. Please do not stand on or come in contact with the foul lines when warming up by throwing or stretching. This is a high maintenance area for the grass. It is suggested that teams remain approximately 8-10 feet to the foul side of the line when loosening up.

Permanent bathroom facilities are available at the park, behind the concession stand. The bathroom facilities are maintained by the City of Elgin and we ask that the baseball community help to keep the restrooms clean. Please report any problems or needs to the concession stand.

Pregame infield practice is at the discretion of the Trout Park officials or the umpire in chief. Please ask permission to take infeild before doing so. While we try to allocate this time constraints may not allow this warm up.

First aid kits and a field telephone are available at the concession stand. If a more serious injury occurs please contact 911 and the Elgin Paramedics will respond. Immediately notify the umpire or field official who can assist in directing emergency equipment to the injured person.
